Saturday night saw yet another packed clubhouse as we were treated to our very own Las Vegas-style live Elvis show! Performing a huge variety of Elvis’ hits, our entertainer took the audience from gentle toe-tapping and hand-clapping to all out dancing and jiving (some of us more frenzied than others)!! Our clubhouse was transformed into a mini Caesars Palace with lights and sounds- just take a look at some of the pictures to see what we mean! Audience participation was awesome and all who attended will agree that it was a fabulous evening!
Watch this space for news of the Club’s next event.
We have three very informal and friendly sessions: Just turn up and play with members, friends and maybe one of our coaches:
Lastly we have our big Open Day on July 17th between 11am and 2pm. This is our main event Clinton with all of the above + a BBQ and some Junior Tennis.
Special Membership rates will apply for those joining on those days
The Totteridge Ladies 1 60 Plus Nationals team beat Queens Club in the first round of the National League knockout tournament by 6 rubbers to 2. Congratulations go to Meta Kelly, Natalie Bowman, Anne Bennett-Baggs and Patsy Lisoire. Here comes Wimbledon!!!
The forecast was not looking good at the beginning of the Easter weekend, but things changed for the better and a good number of members braved the slightly challenging winds and came along yesterday (Mon 28th March 2016) for the mix in “American” tournament, where great fun was had by all.
Congratulations to the winners, Sue Down and Steve Maton. Don’t forget the next one on May 2nd which will also be followed by the draw for Wimbledon Tickets (for those members that “opted in!”)
Last night, Saturday 6th Feb 2016, saw a packed clubhouse host a fabulous music quiz, fish and chips dinner and disco for the brave. The quiz was varied and fun and the winning team, winning various bottles of alcohol, was Sue Hough’s. Rumours of this being a fix as she had kindly organised the event are totally unfounded!
This event got booked up quickly so keep an eye out for notification of the next and book early to avoid disappointment.
Talk of the demise of the Totteridge Tennis website was finally set aside following a good old fashioned computer punch-up with Word Press!
